A question that comes up a lot in the sex-positive stratosphere is how to find porn that is woman-friendly. A lot of people are searching for porn that doesn’t necessarily involve spitting in vaginas or facial after facial; porn that reflects real women’s bodies and sex the way it really happens.

But if you’re searching for that kind of porn on any mainstream search engine, good luck. Everyone from Google to Yahoo filters out adult content from their search results, even if it’s ethical porn. Try, for example, typing “anal” into Google. You’ll find a lot of how-tos from women’s magazines and a Wikipedia entry or two, but good luck if you’re looking for an image or video of actual anal sex.

That’s where Boodigo comes in.

Boodigo is a brand new search engine that was created by husband/wife team Colin and Angie Rowntree. Ethical pornographers themselves (check out Angie’s site sssh.com), they were tired of being filtered out of mainstream search results and decided to do something about it.

“We’re really tired of getting ghettoised in mainstream search,” Colin explained. Boodigo was their solution: a search engine that doesn’t filter out porn, but does filter the type of porn that users see. Unlike Bing, which is known for bringing the nastiest of the pirated illegal porn to the forefront, Boodigo focuses on highlighting ethical porn.

The search results are weighted so that studio or performer-owned porn shows up first – before any of the illegal streaming or “tube” sites. They’ve banned filesharing sites and limited the results from, for example, YouPorn. Instead, the top sites you’ll find on Boodigo focus on ethically produced porn, a great solution for folks who like to consume porn but feel kind of icky about how it’s made.

Now, that’s not to say that you’re not going to find mainstream porn on Boodigo. There are definitely still plenty of cum shots for folks who are interested in that kind of thing. Take the example of “anal” again. Whereas Google gives you a bunch of articles on the top, Boodigo starts out with a two sites that show anal sex GIFs and sites, some of which definitely fall closer to the mainstream porn side of things.

And Boodigo isn’t just for people searching for smut. Colin told me that he and his wife not only launched the site for personal gain (they were tired of the mainstream search engines taking a bite out of their profits) but also because they, like a lot of people these days, are tired of having their every move tracked online so that sites can sell them ads.

“That’s okay if your searching for ‘cat food,’” Colin told me. “But if you’re searching for ‘Bulgarian amputee nude girls,’ you probably don’t want that in your history and then popping up in ad form.”

Unlike the other search engines, Boodigo doesn’t track any information about its users and promises that it never will. Basically, they’re the search engine for ethical pervs, libertarians, and anyone else who fears the eye of the NSA. Looking for smut? Tired of being tracked online? Search Boodigo.
